Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit. The barcode Amazon assigns to each FBA unit so it can be tracked through fulfillment centres. FNSKU labels can replace the manufacturer barcode via Amazon's stickering service or seller-applied labels.

FNSKU, or Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit, is a unique identifier assigned by Amazon to each unit fulfilled through FBA, allowing precise tracking through its network of fulfillment centers across the EU, including DE, FR, IT, ES, PL, and CZ. Each FNSKU label must be applied to the product before it is sent to Amazon, with a character limit of 20-30 characters for the label itself. Sellers can opt for Amazon's stickering service, which incurs a fee of €0.15 per unit, or apply the labels themselves. The trade-off for using Amazon's service is convenience, while self-labeling requires compliance with Amazon's labeling guidelines to avoid potential delays in processing. FNSKU matters for inventory management, as it directly impacts the Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score, which must be maintained above 400 to avoid storage limits. Additionally, sellers must ensure that their FNSKU labels do not conflict with manufacturer barcodes, as this can lead to misidentification and fulfillment errors. Regular audits of FNSKU usage are recommended to ensure compliance and optimize inventory flow, particularly during peak seasons like Q4 when fulfillment demands increase significantly.
